After Cholo (their first LP recorded in 1971) and their stay in Cusco, they broadened their fusion as they crystallized their creativity in their second LP: Out of the City (Fuera de la Ciudad), recorded in 1973. The story of these young magicians diversified by then. Here El Polen invites us to gaze at the Moon (until we sensitively touch its surface), expressing the colors of the stars through their songs in complete harmony. Magic, vanguard and psychedelia; music that does not resemble others, originality, a new genre? lyrics and images that come and go from the city to the country and from the country to the cosmos. Epic compositions such as My Cave, Agreement, Puna and The Son of the Sun, as they tell us, are a tribute both to the man who was born in the mountains as to the one born in the city.
